Our History

Wayne Realty & Insurance Co, Inc. was incorporated in 1945 and was initially located at 111 South John Street in Goldsboro, North Carolina.  V.G. Herring, Jr., T.M. Freeman, and D.H. Bland, Jr. were the original incorporators and served as officers of the board of Wayne Realty and Insurance Co., Inc. 
 
In 1946, C.W. Peacock was elected to the office of the Vice-President, and then President in 1950.  Also in 1946, the company moved to a new location at 210 East Walnut Street in Goldsboro, then in 1969 to their current location at 304 East Walnut Street. 
 
In 1983, current President Robert B. Logan joined Wayne Realty & Insurance Co., Inc.  Mr. Logan has an extensive background in business management specifically oriented to insurance and real estate services.  Logan has been a licensed insurance and real estate agent since 1975 and was licensed as a real estate appraiser in 1990.
